Mountjoy Square Minister Meeting
01 Dec 2014

Howley Hayes Architects presented their conservation, management and implementation plan for Mountjoy Square to Minister Paschal Donohoe recently. The presentation included our proposals of ways to enhance the facilities and historic character of the park, a project that could be undertaken in phases. The ambition is to restore the park at Mountjoy Square to its rightful place as the finest of Dublin’s Georgian Squares, having lost its historic layout through changes in the 20th century. Minister Donohoe was very interested in the initiative, emphasising the importance of broadening the areas of the city on offer to tourists, not to always focus on the usual places.
